St John's College Hamilton
One of Hamilton’s premier boys schools, St John's College, recently expanded with the addition of a new classroom block ‘Chanel Block’. Designed by ASPEC and expertly managed and constructed by Mitchell's Construction, this state-of-the-art two-story classroom block enhances the campus further by providing an optimal learning environment.
This sophisticated setup features a cutting-edge Mitsubishi Hybrid VRF system paired with Losnay heat recovery ventilation, ensuring a consistently comfortable and healthy atmosphere for students and staff.

Located on Hillcrest Road in Hamilton, this project posed more than a few operational challenges due to its setting in an active educational environment. Eastside Refrigeration took charge of project management, skilfully handling the complexities of mechanical ventilation and air-conditioning installations. They coordinated onsite staff, managed subcontractors, and addressed variations efficiently, ensuring the project was executed to the highest standards.
Despite these complexities, the project was completed in January 2024, demonstrating all contractors’ commitment to quality and efficiency.
