Rototuna Village
Located in Rototuna North, Hamilton, the Rototuna Village project significantly enhances the local community infrastructure. Managed by the main contractor, Form Construction and completed in December 2020, this development introduced two new commercial buildings catering to a mix of tenants, including office spaces and restaurants.
Eastside Refrigeration played a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and comfort of these spaces. Thanks to the skilful hand of their in-house Design Engineer, Eastside Refrigeration navigated the complexity of varying tenant needs by designing a functional, mechanical ventilation system that aligned perfectly with the client’s requirements and budget.

Challenges and Execution:
The project presented unique challenges due to the mixture of tenant requirements and the need to integrate multiple systems into a cohesive operation. Eastside Refrigeration expertly managed all facets of the mechanical ventilation and air conditioning installation, from coordination of staff on-site to handling subcontractors and necessary project variations. Their comprehensive project management ensured the installation was completed on time and within budget and met the client's expected high-quality standards.
Interesting Fact About the Project:
The COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns disrupted work at the Rototuna Village. However, with the urgent need to get ‘up-and-running’ within one of Hamilton’s fastest-growing suburbs, everyone pulled together with some clever staging and resource allocation, and the rest is history!
